The periphery acts as a point of intersection, the definition of an outline; a location where bodies meet. The works I’m presenting aims to reconnect the viewer to an intuition that births our love for the sea. A place where the architecture of land is shaped by the motion of tides and time.

Here I have used 3d scanning technologies such as photogrametry and white laser optics to quite literaly extract and reproduce natural rock formations from the island’s coastlines. The use of fume mirrors act as a substrate from which to build reimagined terraine.

Drawing inspiration from the intersections of both the old telecoms building and the newly developed towers, whilst also being sensitive to the legacy if what Zaha Hadid has built and stood for.

My aim with these works is to bridge contemporary technologies with that of natural surfaces. Where old structures embrace the arrow of time and the change it inevitably brings.
